Kerala is also known as “God’s own Country’’ as the state is surrounded by backwaters lies with Palm trees, stunning hill stations, wildlife, rich culture and heritage.

During this tour you will explore the spectacular backwaters, beautiful hill stations along with that you will also get an opportunity to understand the wildlife at Eravikulam National Park. A former hunting preserve of British planters this park today exemplifies wildlife conservation at its best. The main draw here is the Nilgiri Tahr, a highly endangered species of wild goat which was all put poached to extinction in 1950, before an NGO stepped in and ensured the habitat was delayered a sanctuary. The sanctuary is located at the height of about 7000 feet, will offers the stunning views of the surroundings.
Itinerary
Day 1: Cochin (Arrival) Sightseeing
Upon arrival at the Cochin airport/ railway station, meet our representative, after welcome, proceed to the hotel. Kochi is one of the most important city of Kerala which is also known as Cochin Located on the south-west coast in Kerala which is also known as the Gateway to Kerala, situated on the Arabian Sea. Kochi is one of the most beautiful city of the state of Kerala.
On arrival at your pre-booked hotel. Check in to the hotel. Rest for a while. Post lunch, proceed for a half day sightseeing covering the places such as Bolgatty Palace, Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue and Chinese fishing nets and spice market.
In the evening, enjoy the Kathakali dance performance. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Cochin-Munnar(By Road-110) Sightseeing
Today, after breakfast, drive to Munnar, enroute enjoy the panoramic views of the Cardamom hills and verdant tea plantations. Munnar is one of the most picturesque hill station in the Idukki district of Kerala. The town is located at the foothill of the Western Ghats mountain range, at the height of about 5,200 feet above from the sea level. It offers the exotic species of flora and fauna, which enhances the beauty of the town. Munnar is not popular as a hill resort, but it is also the centre of the Kerala’s tea growing district, aptly known as the high range.
Upon arrival, check in at the hotel/resort to relax. Later, enjoy some trekking around the place. Stay overnight in Munnar.
Day 3: Munnar Sightseeing
Post breakfast, embark the sightseeing tour in and around Munnar, you will explore the major attractions such as Eravikulam National Park, which is the home of Nilgiri Tahr. Visit Old Munnar Town. Later explore the Mattupetty Dam, It is located at the distance of 13 kilometres away from Munnar. This 160 feet high dam has vast reservoir extending several kilometres into the hill. Cruising here is an amazing experience. It is offering occasional sightings of elephant, gaur as well as sambar.
And also explore Dairy Farm and Attukad Waterfalls The waterfalls is located at the distance of about 9 kilometres away from Munnar, between the Munnar and Pallivasal. It is the one of the most beautiful fall which enhance during the monsoons. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel in Munnar.
Day 4: Munnar-Thekkady (By Road-120 Kilometres) Sightseeing
Post an early morning breakfast, leave by road towards Periyar National Park in Thekkady. In the evening, enjoy a boat cruise on the Periyar Lake and explore the large variety of wildlife species that inhabit this national park. After wildlife sightseeing, return back to the hotel for night stay. Thekkady is the small village located in the Idukki district in the state of Kerala. This place is renowned for largest and one of the oldest wildlife sanctuary ‘Periyar National Park’, which is the most popular tourist destination of Kerala. The sanctuary is surrounded with dense forest and grass lands. It is home of Indian tigers, elephants, lion tailed macaques, gaurs, deer, sambars apart from this 45 species of reptiles , 30 species of snakes, 13 lizard species. Thekkaddy offers a calm and soothing environment which makes it as a haven for nature and wildlife lovers. It is the place where you can understand the real essence of wildlife along with the refreshing climate to revive your mind and body.
In the evening, enjoy a boat cruise on the Periyar Lake and explore the various wild animals that inhabit this national park. After wildlife sightseeing, return back to the hotel for night stay.
Day 5: Kumarakom Sightseeing
Post breakfast, proceed to Kumarakom by road. Kumarakom is the one of the most popular tourist destination in Kerala. It is renowned for backwater, located on the Vembanad Lake, which is the largest lake of fresh water. The backwater fishing village is indeed a haven, and has had its attractions advertised by some stunning top end resorts by the side of Vembanad Lake.
En route enjoy the breath taking lush green surroundings. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and spend rest of the day in leisure. Overnight stay in Kumarakom.
Day 6: Kumarakom-Cochin (By Road-49 kilometres)
